An Unreleased/Never-To-Be Released Track! Tippy-Top Secret and Available Only Here!
Our cover version of The Special AKA's 1984 ska classic "Free Nelson Mandela" with the lyrics newly re-modified by yours truly, and now directed at Venezuelan dictator Hugo Chavez. Entitled "Free Venezuela" the song could be/would be/should be an outright sing-a-long/dance-a-long hit. Alas, we were denied clearance by the powers that be. C'est la vie. Enjoy it here, and only here:

FOUR BRAND NEW SONGS FROM THE FENWICKS' FORTHCOMING CD "More Is More"
1. Devil's Den ("Too Dumb To Die"). A danceable ditty, about true love, and zombie hunting...
2. Begging For The Bullet. The single greatest song ever written, (or at the very least, the single greatest song ever written about a "Senile Avenging Jewish Werewolf")...
3. Preeminent Domain. Our anti-Eminent Domain anthem in the Battle for Private Property Rights...
4. Sleep Tight. A vicious little break-up lullaby. With a guest vocal by global Dancehall Diva, the ever exquisite Madelin Zero...
SCHUB
EATEN ALIVE! AND THE FENWICKS SING ABOUT IT...
Well,
good news/bad news. The bad news is: Schub's heart has
been ripped out and eaten by ghouls. The good news is:
it's only a movie- a new indie horror flick about flesh-eating
ghouls called "Devil's Den"
directed by Jeff Burr. Not only did I get to play the
quintessential annoying (hence doomed) side-kick, but
your very own Fenwicks got to write the title track "Devil's
Den (Too Dumb to Die)". Written, recorded,
mixed and mastered in a blistering 48 hours by me, Jim
and our genius keyboard player/resident producer Jon Marshall
Smith... Download the very Ska-ry Song now: mp3
IS
THIS THE "OBJECTIVIST BOB DYLAN"?
Shalom
and Aloha all you freedom-luvin' Fenwick fans! Wanna
be the
very first to hear the brand new Fenwicks song:
"Preeminent Domain"?
The Fenwicks' musical/lyrical answer to the Supreme
Court's twisted
decision on "Eminent Domain"?...
To quote my intellectual hero Ayn Rand: "Without
property
rights, no other rights are possible. Since man has
to sustain his
life by his own effort, the man who has no right to
the product of
his effort has no means to sustain his life. The man
who produces
while others dispose of his product is a slave".
Well, we ain't
slaves, and this won't stand- true? True! What to do?
Sing along for
starters. Loud! Louder!! Loudly enough for your Congressmen
to
hear....
Oh and um, one prefatory qualifier: this is what we
here in Camp
Fenwick call a "Ruff-ruff/Scratch" demo, recorded
in one truly rowdy
take, in the living room of our bass player Ed Richardson's
house in
Jacksonville- ie. no horns, and no drums yet.... still
embryonic,
yet still kinda effective wethinks! Strictly for you
hard-core
'Wick-heads.... Now click on this: mp3
THE
FENWICKS REPRESENT THE VANS WARPED TOUR ON NBC
On August 2nd 2005,
Jacksonville Florida’s NBC affiliate First Coast News
WTLV-Channel 12, opted to have your very own Fenwicks
interviewed on their Morning Show (at 6:15 in the morning!)...
Can you imagine?! No need.
In honor of The Fenwicks' CD Release Fiesta at The Freebird in Jacksonville, FOX News interviews two of The Fenwicks' founders, Lynyrd Skynyrd drummer Artimus Pyle and Mr. Steven Schub.
Well,
OK. Lemme explain. (This is Schub here...) See um, my whole
life I’ve dreamed of playing guitar and writing music.
Only problem being: I only know 3 chords (A, D and sometimes
G), and the simple fact that I’m already in a band
with one genius guitar player, this guy named Jimmie Corrieri.
And so I’ve resigned myself to just writing the lyrics
and singing the songs. Until now! Bear witness people, to
the new song I just wrote. The first song I’ve ever
written both the words AND music to, (and depending on how
you like it, possibly the last). One final disclaimer: Please
note: Obviously this is an acoustic, first run rehearsal,
with just Jim and Ed, shot in Ed’s living room. One
day soon we’ll expose the full band to it. And very
special thanks to our newest Fenwick Jon Marshal Smith for
shooting and editing this baby on the spot!
THE
FENWICKS: LIVE AND UNLEASHED AT CLUB LINGERIE LOS ANGELES...
Available now, for your downloading pleasure, two
brand new Fenwick videos, "Truth & Memory"
and "You, Me and Heresy".
Shot live at Hollywood's legendary Club Lingerie
by Robert M.Young (director of Paul
Simon's "One Trick Pony",
"Dominick & Eugene" and "Caught"),
Fidel Gruber and John Goodner, and edited by the aforementioned
Mr. Fidel Gruber. These vids capture all the sweaty
shenanigans. Click and enjoy....
Directed by Academy Award Nominee Bennett Miller ("Capote"), the
"Another Deadly Mother" video was
shot with no money, lots of chocolate covered espresso beans,
in 24 sleepless
hours back when we were all still babies, and
The Fenwicks were still a mere duo. This is the video I gave to Lynyrd
Skynyrd's drummer Artimus Pyle,
while I was still working as a bell-boy in NYC.
Artimus watched it, had a vision, quit Skynyrd,
flew Jim and I to Jacksonville, and the rest is Ska-history!
